Center of Gravity
Setting up the center of gravity for your heli is important. A tail-heavy heli will not fly, at least not very long. You need to ensure that you are not tail-heavy. Now, that sounds easy, doesn't it. Yeah right. If you are using an 8 or 10 cell battery and position it on the holds that are under the Eco, you will be tail-heavy. So, you move the battery forward a bit. You might discover that you have to move the battery forward quite a bit and the battery is no longer being held by the rear battery holder. It now is only being held by the front holder. Not too good. You will have to use some type of straps or holders (which are not after-market parts). It might also require you to slightly cut some more of your canopy to ensure that the battery fits properly. I also created this rig to hold the heli while I set the center of gravity. I simply place the heli over the rig and sit the flybar on top. I can then test and move the battery to where I want. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
